Madison Ozkaya

Madison practices in oil, gas, and mineral law, with a primary focus in title examination.
Before joining the firm, Madison represented claimants in Louisiana workers’ compensation, personal injury, and social and security disability alongside her father and brother at their family firm in Louisiana. After relocating to Houston, she transitioned into defending government contractors and their insurers in workers’ compensation claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act as extended by the Defense Base Act.
During law school, Madison enjoyed oil, gas, and property focused classes and hoped to one day practice in the oil and gas industry. She spent a semester studying European and International Business Law at the Faculté de Droit – Université Jean Moulin Lyon III, located in Lyon, France, where she deepened her knowledge of the civil law tradition common to Louisiana and Continental Europe and examined issues in international environmental policy and petroleum transactions.
