Josiah (Joe) serves energy clients in complex upstream title matters and individual owners in mineral and real estate transactions.

Joe’s practice focuses on oil, gas, and mineral law, including the preparation of drilling and division order title opinions. He also has extensive experience in due diligence projects, preparation of acquisition and mortgage title opinions, negotiating and drafting mineral conveyances, oil and gas leases, assignments and right-of-way agreements, and representing working interest owners in receivership proceedings.

Prior to joining the predecessor of Dupuis Law Firm, Joe was a sole practitioner, concentrating in the areas of oil and gas, real estate and business law. Following graduation from law school, Joe served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Joe J. Fisher, Judge of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, and was subsequently employed by law firms representing commercial clients in insurance defense and bankruptcy matters.  Prior to attending law school, Joe worked as an independent petroleum landman.
