Garrett practices in oil, gas, and mineral law, with a primary focus in title examination and the preparation of drilling, supplemental, and division order title opinions.

In addition, Garrett has represented clients in all aspects of residential, commercial, agricultural, and recreational real estate transactions, from title review to closing, and in general estate and litigation matters involving real property ownership and use. Before joining the firm, Garrett served as a law clerk to the Honorable James W. Kitchens, Mississippi Supreme Court, and as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Chancery Court District of Mississippi.

Garrett received a B.A. in History, magna cum laude, from Millsaps College in 2013. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in 2016, where he was an Executive Articles Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal, and an Institute for Energy Law Hartrick Scholar.
